A Bit About Me
My name is Griscelda Blanco, I have my Associate's degree in Early Childhood Development. I have been teaching for almost 10 years. I taught preschoolers and elementary- age children in Aguascalientes, Mexico in a dual language school. I also taught toddlers and preschool-aged children in Alexandria, Virginia.
The Tod Pod Children's House is a vision I’ve had for years. I have always desired to be a teacher who instills a positive environment, creates an inclusive culture, and provides all children an equal opportunity to learn together. When I taught at Aquinas Montessori school I was inspired by Maria Montessori and her approach to education. She inspired me to create The Tod Pod Children's House. I am a warm and nurturing person, with a bubbly personality. I have a lot of patience and love for children. I consider myself to be a positive, creative, and empathetic person. In the future, I would like to attend George Mason University to earn my bachelor's degree in education and minor in special education. I also aspire to one day teach English For Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL).
